Josie Debus: Since 2011, I have had the joy of working with children from newborn to five years of age. I went to school and received my Associate of Science in Child Development and my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Early childhood education has become my calling and my deepest hope is that every child who leaves our center carries with them not only a love for learning but a growing love for Jesus!
Assistant Director
Trish Henderson: I have worked with children for eighteen years; the last ten years for Head Start. I am married with two grown daughters and four grandchildren. I have my Associates in early childhood education and many other college credits. I love working with the families and children that come into our program at Grace Lutheran Childcare. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish as a center and within the Caldwell Community.

Taya Gonzales: Hi! I am Teacher Taya, your friendly, glitter loving teacher. Ever since I was little, I have wanted to work with ages 3-5. I earned my AA degree in early education and believe every day should be filled with creativity, curiosity, and the biggest smiles. Let’s learn, laugh, and create magical memories with your kiddos!
Melanie Curry: I am the Lead Teacher for three-year-olds with many years of experience in different roles in childcare. I am passionate about creating a loving, Christ-centered environment where young children can grow, learn, and feel secure. I consider it a blessing to guide little ones during these important early years and to partner with families in their child’s development. My husband and I have served in pastoral ministry in the Nazarene Church together for 30 years and are the proud parents of four adult children. I enjoy animals, gardening and just being out in nature.
Portia Daily: My name is Portia and I have two years of experience caring for infants and I am now currently in the 1-year-old room. When I am off the clock, you can find me shopping! Super excited to be part of GLCC!
Vanessa Baird: Hello! My name is Nessa and I am excited to work in the infant room! I have a wonderful husband and 3 crazy dogs. I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, running and spending time with my family. I aspire and dedicate myself to provide the best educational experience possible for your child.
Teacher Aides
Elizabeth Osmus: I feel so blessed for this opportunity the Lord has given me to help the children grow in all areas, which includes learning their ABC’s, numbers, colors, and have them learn about our Lord and Savior.
Cheyeanne Horn: My name is Cheyeanne, I am a mom of two little boys. I enjoy reading and watching new shows! I have been working with kids for a short time. But I absolutely love it! I love being apart of GLCC, it’s so fun here!
McKenzie Gruidl: I am currently a health science student with a passion for working with children. I love building strong connections and creating a supportive, fun space for kids to grow. Outside of work, I’m excited to be starting a family with my fiancé and hanging out with my dachshund, Winston.
