Pastor Jason Gullidge has served at Grace Lutheran Church & Preschool since July 2024. He took over following the vacancy served by Pastor Randy Benscoter. Before coming to Caldwell, he served as pastor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jerome, Idaho, along with its preaching station in Gooding, Idaho.
Pastor Gullidge and wife, Christa, were both born and raised in the state of Washington. They met his senior year while attending Concordia University- Portland, Oregon. They were college sweethearts. It is there, where he received a bachelors in Christian Education (2009) followed by a post-bachelors in Director of Christian Education (2010).
He received his Master of Divinity in 2016 from Concordia Theological Seminary following his vicarage at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beardstown, Illinois (2014-2015). Christa holds a Bachelor of Education with minors in Professional Church Work and Music along with a masters in Curriculum and Instruction of Mathematics. She is currently a fifth grade teacher at Jefferson Middle School.
Prior to becoming a pastor, Jason did various jobs. He worked as a sandblaster, chemical tech, and cleanroom specialist for a firm in Portland. In addition, he served as a Director of Christian Education Intern, he served at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church in Concord, California. These experiences served him well.
This couple has been blessed with four daughters. When Pastor Gullidge is not doing his duties for the church, you will find him hanging out at their games, competitions, recitals, playing a round of golf, skiing on one of the local slopes, untangling his fishing line, or crabbing along the Oregon Coast. Christa, in addition to all the girl activities, loves to read, enjoy a cup of hot coffee, and capture beauty with her camera.
